University Admissions May Be on Entry Tests

Due to prevailing situation of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, the federal government has cancelled the matric and intermediate classes annual exams all over the country. Federal Minister of Education said that holding of the SSC & HSSC annual exams for session 2019-20 is not possible because it will become difficult to maintain the social distancing among the distance and it is considered, then the educational boards will have to manage large number of exams centers, which will be very difficult for the students and teachers to reach there and manage the exams. In order to grant admissions to the students in the higher classes in the colleges and universities, the Federal Education Minister said that the universities may conduct the entry test of the aspiring students and the admissions will be granted to the students purely on the outcome of the entry tests. This will be the big shift in the admission policy of the universities. It seems that the government or HEC issues the directives to the universities to change their admission policy and grant the admissions to the students on the basis of their entry test. But the government is still thinking over this policy before reaching to the final decision for admission policy.
