UET Lahore Opens Undergraduate Fall Admissions 2026
The University of Engineering and Technology UET Lahore has officially finalized the dates for the Combined Entrance Test 2026, a mandatory requirement for students seeking admission to undergraduate engineering and computing programs across Punjab. According to the university spokesperson, Rana Tanveer Qasim, the first phase of the computer-based examination is scheduled to take place from March 30 to April 2, 2026.
Mock Tests and Candidate Participation
To facilitate students and familiarize them with the digital testing environment, UET conducted a mock test on Saturday, March 28. This session allowed candidates to experience the interface before the actual high-stakes exam.
- Total Candidates: Approximately 18,500 students are expected to appear in this years cycle.
- Test Duration: Each session will last exactly 100 minutes.
- Strict Regulations: Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing calculators, books, or mobile phones into the examination halls.
Key Test Centers Across Punjab
The university has established multiple centers to ensure easy access for students from different regions. These designated test centers include:
- UET Lahore Main Campus and sub-campuses in Faisalabad and Narowal.
- Rachna College of Engineering and Technology, Gujranwala.
- KFUEIT, Rahim Yar Khan.
- Bahauddin Zakariya University BZU, Multan.
Results and Merit Calculation
The university remains committed to a transparent and merit based conduct of the examination. The results for the ECAT 2026 are expected to be announced on April 17, 2026. Notably, there is no negative marking this year, ensuring that students can attempt all questions to maximize their potential scores for the upcoming Fall Admissions 2026.
