UAE to Introduce AI Education in School Curriculum
Starting from the next academic year, artificial intelligence AI will officially be introduced into the curriculum of all government schools across the UAE. This significant step was announced by UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The students can get the latest updates of UAE Integrates Artificial Intelligence into National Education Framework.
In a post shared on X previously known as Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed revealed that the UAE Cabinet has sanctioned the finalized curriculum for the new subject. AI education will begin from kindergarten and continue through to grade 12. This initiative aligns with the UAE’s long-term vision of preparing students for a technologically advanced future.
AI to Be Taught Across All Grade Levels in UAE Government Schools
The AI curriculum will encompass both technical and ethical dimensions, offering students insights into data, algorithms, real-world applications, potential risks, and how artificial intelligence is influencing everyday life. The objective is to foster a deep understanding of how such emerging technologies are transforming contemporary societies.
Sheikh Mohammed praised the Ministry of Education for developing this forward-thinking curriculum. He underlined the importance of adapting to global technological trends and reaffirmed that empowering youth with relevant and future-ready skills is essential to the UAE’s continuous growth and innovation.
