Three Pakistani Universities Selected For Eco-Marathon

Shell Eco-Marathon is the leading competition program lead by Shell for energy efficiency. This energy competition is held every year and students from around the world participate in this competition program. In this competition, the students are assigned to manufacture and assemble the energy efficient cars.

Pakistani Universities are regularly taking part in Shell Eco Marathon from the past five years. According to reports, these three major engineering universities have been nominated for the Shell Eco Marathon Asia. The overall grant of 1.95 million Rupees has been awarded to these universities to participate in the upcoming Shell Eco Marathon Asia.

These three engineering universities are Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), and National University of Sciences and Technology – Pakistan Navy Engineering College (NUST PNEC).

Each university is awarded a grant of 650,000 Rupees, and these universities will invest this amount to participate in the event at regional level. The universities forwarded their ideas and to the research branch of the Shell and finally got selected by Shell Pakistan Panel to be best for upcoming Shell Eco Marathon Asia after judgment.
