Aspiring medical students across Pakistan have started preparing rigorously for the upcoming Medical and Dental College Admission Test MDCAT 2025, which is tentatively scheduled for the final ten days of September. Although the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council PMDC has not officially confirmed the date, widespread reports have prompted students to focus more seriously on their studies. Students Intensify Preparation as MDCAT Likely to Take Place in Late September
The 2025 edition of the exam will be conducted under revised policies. To be eligible, candidates must secure at least 65% marks in their FSC Pre-Medical. Additionally, a significant change this year is the restriction on candidates appearing outside their province of domicile — they must take the test only within their own province.
For overseas students, the test will be held exclusively in Riyadh, which has been designated as the only international exam center for MDCAT 2025.
These modifications aim to bring consistency to the examination process, minimize inter-provincial candidate movement, and address previous issues related to test management. PM&DC has advised students to rely solely on official announcements for the most accurate updates.
Education specialists recommend that students align their preparation with the approved syllabus, work on weaker subjects, and practice under exam-like conditions using previous papers to enhance speed and accuracy.
