Temporary Closure of Educational Institutions in KP
In light of the upcoming general elections, educational institutions across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa KP are scheduled to remain closed from February 7 to 9. While the official decision has been finalized, the formal announcement is anticipated in the first week of February. The students, teachers and parents will note the Temporary Closure of Educational Institutions in KP Due to General Elections.
Election-Related Closure
The closure aligns with the elections scheduled for February 8, where schools and colleges will serve as polling stations. Given the substantial involvement of teachers as polling staff during the elections, the decision to close educational institutions for three days has been made.
Official Announcement Timing
The final decision regarding the closure of all schools and colleges will be officially communicated two or three days before the general elections. Additionally, local authorities may consider the extension of holidays based on prevailing circumstances.
Government Measures for Election Duties
To address the shortage of over 25,000 policemen required for election duties, the government plans to mobilize officials from various government departments. Collaboration between the Frontier Constabulary, Frontier Corps, and the police is also expected to be in place to ensure a peaceful and smooth election process.
