Tahaffuz Darsgah First Transgender Institute Admissions 2026 Matric

Lahore, Pakistan – Tahaffuz Darsgah, Pakistan’s first dedicated educational institute for transgender children, has officially opened admissions for the year 2026. Established on 18 February 2024 in Jallo, Lahore, this pioneering institute is a collaborative initiative of UKCAB and the Punjab Police, aimed at providing safe, inclusive, and quality education to transgender children aged 8 to 18 years.

About Tahaffuz Darsgah

Tahaffuz Darsgah offers formal education from Class One to Matriculation and IGCSE levels. The institute follows the Oxford curriculum up to Grade 8, while the Punjab Textbook Board PTB syllabus and Cambridge O/A Level curriculum are implemented at the secondary level. Its primary mission is to foster academic excellence, personal growth, and social integration, equipping students with life skills, vocational competencies, and moral values for long-term independence and well-being.

Services and Facilities

Tahaffuz Darsgah provides free air-conditioned accommodation, meals, uniforms, casual wear, and medical care. Students also benefit from curricular and extracurricular activities, vocational training, and personal development opportunities. Recreational programs include educational tours, national event celebrations, and organized sports activities, promoting holistic development.

Student Enrollment and Achievements

During 2024–2025, 25 students were enrolled, with seven successfully completing their education. Currently, nine students are actively studying, while others discontinued due to age or medical reasons. Notable achievements include basic computer literacy, English communication skills, and academic progress such as Abdul Rehman scoring 70% in FSC Pre-Medical Part-I.

Entrepreneurship and Adult Support Programs

UKCAB, in collaboration with Tahaffuz Darsgah, runs the IBTIKAR WA RIZQ Entrepreneurship Program for transgender individuals aged 18 and above, offering financial support, skill-building workshops, and guidance for business development. Workshops have been held in Multan and Faisalabad, with active participation from students and staff.
