SZABMU Admissions 2025 MBBS/BDS Programs
Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University SZABMU, Islamabad, the premier medical university under the administrative control of the Federal Government, invites applications for admission to First Year MBBS and BDS programs in the following public sector medical and dental colleges for the academic session 2025–26.

Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Medical and Dental College, Lahore
Dental Institute
School of Dentistry, Islamabad

Eligibility Criteria
In accordance with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council PM&DC Undergraduate Education Admissions, Curriculum & Conduct Regulations 2023, the following criteria apply:
Minimum Academic Qualification:
At least 60% marks in HSSC Pre-Medical or equivalent Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics, duly certified by IBCC.
Entry Test Requirement:
Must have passed the MDCAT in 2025, 2024, or 2023, with:
55% marks for MBBS
50% marks for BDS
For Sindh domicile candidates, admissions will be conducted as per PM&DC policy.
Merit Formula
Final merit will be determined as follows:
Matriculation / SSC / Equivalent – 10%
F.Sc Pre-Medical / HSSC / Equivalent – 40%
MDCAT – 50%
Quota and Special Categories
Federal Government Employees’ Children: Certificate from parent’s department required.
Disabled Quota: Disability certificate from a Federal/Provincial Disability Board is mandatory.
Foreign/Overseas Pakistani Candidates:
Must hold foreign nationality or dual nationality.
Completed 12th grade or equivalent outside Pakistan.
Must provide proof of residence, study, and foreign identity document e.g., Iqama, Green Card, Residence Permit, or Foreign Passport.

Pay the Application Fee:
Rs. 3,000/- for MBBS
Rs. 3,000/- for BDS
Fee is non-refundable and must be paid separately for each program.
Upload the paid challan on the admission portal.
Submit application online — no manual or postal submission accepted.
Applicants must apply separately for MBBS and BDS programs. Incomplete, incorrect, or unsubmitted applications will not be considered.

Important Notes:
Applications once submitted cannot be changed or withdrawn.
Candidates must upload authentic and verifiable documents; any falsification will lead to permanent disqualification.
Applicants applying against quota seats must provide supporting certificates before the Medical Examination Board of SZABMU.
Ex-FATA candidates must submit domicile verification from the concerned Deputy/Assistant Commissioner as per the university’s specimen form.
Provisional admissions may be cancelled at any stage if credentials are found incorrect or incomplete.
