Special 2 Years IT Skills Degree Programs Launched in Universities
Ministry of IT and Telecommunication MoITT made the requested to Higher Education Communication to start the two yeas IT Skills Programs in the universities.
The sources made it clear that HEC is going to start the two years Associate Degree AD Programs to meet the shortage of the IT workforce in the country. The candidates can get the latest updates regarding their Special 2 Years IT Skills Degree Programs Launched in Universities and got the feedback from the universities regarding this AD program. Now HEC has completed the consultation with the universities and HEC has finalized the curriculum for AD program. Now this matter has been sent to the Accreditation Council of HEC and after their approval, the program will be officially launched.
The ministry said that the universities produce 25,000 IT graduates every year and less than 50% graduates can meet the demand of the local industry. The ministry said that IT experts will be increased to increase the IT workforce in the country. The government has given the target to the HEC and their constituent universities to produce 1 million IT workers in the coming 5 years.
The two years AD program will help the HEC and government to meet the shortage of the IT skilled workforce. The ministry is working in different IT training programs to enable IT workforce to meet the requirements of the market.
