SMBBMC Admissions 2025 Post Graduate FCPS Training Program

The Office of the Principal, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College SMBBMC Lyari, invites applications for admission into Postgraduate Training Programs for Session 2025-B. This announcement is a continuation of a previously published advertisement Ref No. 3501-03, dated 12-05-2025; INF-KRY 1543/2025.

Programs Offered

Postgraduate training opportunities are available in the following disciplines:

FCPS-II Paid Training – Govt. of Sindh stipend

Gynaecology & Obstetrics

General Surgery

Paediatrics

Medicine

MCPS Honorary Training

Gynaecology & Obstetrics

Paediatrics

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

MBBS Degree from a PMDC-recognized university Schedule I & II

Valid PMDC Registration as a Medical Practitioner

One-year House Job in a PMDC-recognized institution

For FCPS-II: Must have passed FCPS-I

For MCPS: Must have completed house job in the relevant field

Foreign Graduates must submit an equivalence certificate issued by PMDC

Activity Date

Issuance of Application Forms 2nd June 2025

Last Date for Form Submission 16th June 2025

Entry Test 21st June 2025

Interview / Viva Voce 24th June 2025

Commencement of Academic Session 1st July 2025

All admissions are strictly based on merit, subject to seat availability and stipend capacity.

Entry Test & Interview

An entry test and interview/viva will be conducted for selection into FCPS-II and other recognized postgraduate training programs. Final selection is based on combined performance and merit ranking.

Important Notes:

In-service candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate NOC from their current employer. Applications without NOC will not be considered.

Application forms can be collected from the Office of the Co-Chairperson, Postgraduate Medical Education, Training, Research & Ethics Committee, SMBB Medical College, Lyari.

No applications will be accepted after the deadline. Submissions via email or in-person queries will not be entertained.

FCPS-II trainees are eligible for stipends as per Government of Sindh policy, while MCPS trainees will be offered honorary positions.

In cases of emergencies mass disaster, pandemics, etc., selected residents will be expected to support the college in relief efforts.
