Sindh Waives Fees for Inter Students from 2017 to 2024
The Sindh government has officially announced a complete fee exemption for students of classes XI and XII who were registered with the Karachi Inter Board between the academic years 2017–18 and 2023–24. This decision was made during a meeting of the Sindh Cabinet’s Sub-Committee on Finance, attended by members Nasir Hussain Shah and Zia Lanjar. The students can get latest updates of Sindh Waives Fees for Inter Students from 2017 to 2024.
Government Clears Dues and Offers Full Fee Exemption
To support this initiative, the committee approved the release of Rs1.27 billion to clear the remaining dues owed to the board. Although the government had previously provided Rs2.89 billion, the total amount required to cover all student fees for the seven years was Rs4.16 billion.
According to the data shared in the meeting, around 692,000 students were enrolled with the board during this time, and about 1.213 million exam appearances were recorded. The move ensures that these students will not be required to pay any fees retrospectively.
