Sindh Launches Digital System to Monitor Student Attendance

The Sindh government has launched a digital system to monitor student attendance and strengthen accountability in public sector schools across sindh. The students can check the fresh updates of Sindh Launches Digital System to Monitor Student Attendance.

The initiative, named the Student Attendance Monitoring System SAMRS, was introduced during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. The purpose of this system is to identify the causes of student absenteeism and improve the overall quality of education in Sindh.

Technology-Based Initiative to Improve Attendance and Educational Accountability

Developed under the Sindh Early Learning Enhancement Through Classroom Transformation Project, the system will first be implemented in 600 schools across 12 districts, with plans to later expand it to all schools in the province. The project has been created with assistance from the World Bank and the Global Partnership for Education.

According to Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, SAMRS is a technology-driven solution that uses an offline mobile application to record daily attendance and collect real-time data from schools. It aims to help reduce student out rates and ensure effective monitoring of both teachers and students.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah described the system as a significant step toward integrating digital technology in education and promoting transparency in school operations. A formal inauguration ceremony will soon be held, with the participation of international partners and education officials.
