Sindh Grants Marks on Previous Result Basis if No Exams

As the exams in all educational boards are cancelled due to closure of schools amid Coronavirus pandemic. Sindh government has taken the decision to award average marks to matric and inter classes students. Sindh Grants Marks on Previous Result Basis if Board Exams Not Held.

The meeting of Inter Board Committee of Chairman was conducted in which present situation of educational institutes and board was discussed. The representatives of all seven boards attended the meeting and lockdown situation was discussed. In case of adopting social distancing, they have to double number of exams centers, which is huge task and every exams center will be housed with 500 to 1000 students. In case of cancellation of exams, only MCQ papers will be conducted in short time of one hour or one and half hour. If exams are not possible then the students will be awarded average marks on the basis of previous result with 5% grace marks. This decision was submitted to Ministry of Education for grant of approval and final decision will be made next month in Steering Committee of education department.
