Sindh Govt to Establish 3000 Primary Schools in Rural Areas
The Sindh government has unveiled plans to launch 3,000 primary schools across the province under the Non-Formal Literacy Education Project. This initiative is aimed at improving access to education in rural and underserved areas with the support of non-governmental organizations NGOs. Initial Phase of Implementation
The first phase of the project will focus on five districts: Mirpur Khas, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Kashmore, and Jacobabad. In these areas, NGOs will take on the responsibility of managing the schools, while the Sindh School Education Department will offer financial support to ensure the initiative’s success.
Support from NGOs
As part of the collaboration, NGOs will provide essential resources for the schools, including buildings, textbooks, and uniforms. This will facilitate smooth operation and ensure that students have the necessary materials to attend classes. The formal arrangement between the School Education Department and the NGOs will clearly define the roles and responsibilities of each party involved.
Key Meeting to Finalize Details
A crucial meeting has been scheduled for December 9 at 3:30 PM, where the final details of the project will be discussed. The meeting will take place at the office of the Director of Non-Formal Literacy Education, and it will be chaired by Sarfaraz, the Chief Education Development and Planning Officer.
Attendees and Next Steps
The meeting will also include Deputy Secretaries Muhammad Azeem and Ashraf Hussain Ansari, along with other important officials. Together, they will review the plan and discuss the implementation strategies to move forward with this educational initiative.
