Sindh Delays Release of Matric Model Papers for 2026 Exams
As the 2026 matriculation examinations draw nearer, students across Sindh are growing increasingly anxious due to the non-availability of model question papers for the newly implemented Uniform Examination Syllabus UES. The students can get the latest updates of Sindh Delays Release of Matric Model Papers for 2026 Exams.
Although the Sindh School Education Department has updated the matric exam system and introduced assessments based on Student Learning Outcomes SLOs, it has yet to publish sample papers outlining the exam pattern, paper design, and marking criteria. This has created confusion among Class IX and X students, while teachers are struggling to offer targeted preparation. Examination boards have also raised concerns over the uncertainty so close to the annual exams.
The task of preparing and issuing matric model papers lies with the Sindh Secondary Education Improvement Project SSEIP, a wing of the education department. SSEIP official Atta Hussain Lakho explained that the delay is due to ongoing work on intermediate-level examination papers, which are also being revised under the same syllabus framework.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Curriculum, Assessment and Research is responsible for developing intermediate examination papers, as several subjects at that level are transitioning to an SLO-based assessment approach.
Lakho added that a crucial meeting is scheduled for Friday, after which the department plans to upload the matric model papers online. With the matric exams expected to start in March 2026, students will have a short window to prepare once the model papers become available.
