SEF Decides To Establish 1000 Schools In Sindh
The Sindh Education Foundation SEF is has decided to promote school education in Sindh. According to details the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah aims to take this initiative and took this decision during the meeting of the SEF Board of Governors at CM House.
The provincial Minister for Education Saeed Ghani, the Chief Secretary Mumtaz Shah, Chairman P&D Mohammad Waseem, the Principal Secretary to the CM Sajid Jamal Abro, the Secretary School Education & Literacy Department (SE&LD) Ahmed Bux Narejo, the Secretary Finance Hassan Naqvi, MD SEF Kazi Kabir, and the SEF members Kaiser Bengali, Dr. Qazi Masood, Dr. Muhammad Memon, Nazir Tunio, and Hassnain Qamar Shah were also present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the Board of Governors approved the proposal to establish 1000 schools in the province. Other decisions regarding subsidy and scholarships were also taken.
The Sindh Education Foundation SEF will establish 1000 schools to achieve the target of 200,000 children to join the school. The SEF will lead the project under Public Private Partnerships PPP.
The board also decided to give scholarships to the deserving and talented students and SEF Education Council will select the students for scholarships from each grade. The board approved Rs. 800 for grades Katchi to II, Rs. 1000 for Grades III to V, Rs. 1500 for Grades VI and VIII, Rs. 2000 for Grades IX and X, and Rs. 2,200 for Grades XI to XII on the recommendation of the members of the SEF.
