SECCAP 2023 for Government Colleges in Sindh

Government of Sindh has recently introduced the Sindh E-Centralized College Admission Program SECCAP 2023 for individuals seeking admission to government colleges across the province. This program aims to streamline the admission process and ensure equal opportunities for all eligible candidates. Interested applicants can conveniently apply online through the Director General Colleges Sindh website, starting from June 27, 2023. The deadline for submitting the admission form is July 20, 2023. Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for SECCAP 2023, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Successful completion of SSC/Technical board/G.C.E OLevel or an equivalent examination.

• Passing the aforementioned examination within the last three years prior to 2022. Candidates with a gap in their studies will have five marks deducted for each year to determine their merit.

• Students who have passed the G.C.E O Level examination must have cleared the subjects of English, Urdu, Islamiat, Pakistan Studies, and four optional subjects.

• Students coming from the Cambridge board must obtain an equivalence certificate from I.B.C Islamabad.

• Admissions will adhere to the general and specific conditions set by the relevant Education Board for the Intermediate level, faculty, or subject.

• If applying after a delay of one or more years, students must provide an affidavit stating that they have not been admitted to any college previously and are seeking admission for the first time.

• Only students with a domicile of Sindh are eligible to apply. However, students from other provinces can apply on a quota basis.

Application Process:

To apply for SECCAP 2023 online, follow these steps:

• Visit the official website of SECCAP in your web browser.

• Select your Matric Province and Matric Board.

• Enter your CNIC or B-form Number.

• Provide your 9th roll number and marks obtained in the class 9 exams.

• Click on the "proceed" button to proceed to the next step.

Merit List and New Zone System Policy:

SECCAP merit lists for admission to government colleges in Sindh will be announced within a month. Additionally, a new zone system policy has been introduced:

• Students with A+ and A grades can apply to any college in Karachi.

• Students with B, C, and D grades can only apply to colleges within their respective zones, as determined by the Secretary of the Secap Committee.

• Zones will be established in Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Hyderabad under the supervision of the respective Regional Directors.

Additional Information:

• This year, admissions to first-year classes will be based on the results of the ninth-grade examination.

• All government colleges in Sindh will have a uniform dress code, and no college will be permitted to design its own uniform.

• ID cards and admission forms will be centralized, and colleges will not issue these documents.

• Students with Sindh addresses can submit their domicile before the examinations, while those with addresses outside the province must submit their domicile at the time of admission.
