Schools Reopening Plan from Early September by Ministers
Federal government decided to reopen the schools during the first week of September by adopting the strict standard operating procedures (SOPs). The provincial education ministers told during the joint press conference that the consensus has been developed between the federal government and provincial governments and the final decision has been made to think starting of the schools during the first week of September. The joint meeting was held and during this meeting, the situation of the coronavirus pandemic was reviewed and they showed their satisfaction with the improvement of the pandemic. Now the decision was made to open the schools during the second week of August or first week of September under SOPs. The permission will be sought from National Command and Operations Center (NCOC). The NCOC was not agreed to open the schools and colleges during this current situation and the online classes were introduced to reduce the damage to educational process. Now the virus situation is under control and the Punjab government has decided to lift the lockdown and all of the business activities are restored.
