School Winter Vacations Due to Corona 2nd Spell

The federal education minister Shafqat Mehmood chaired a virtual press conference and educational ministers from all provinces joined the conference via video link. The coronavirus current situation was discussed in the conference. In the press conference, the government decided to shut the educational systems all over the Pakistan due to rise of the COVID-19 cases in the second wave. According to reports, the government directed to close the schools from 26th November 2020 to 10th January 2021. The examinations scheduled in December are also postponed.

The federal education minister announced that the online education will be continued from 26th November to 24th December and winter vacations will be given from 25th December 2020 to 10th January 2021. After a review session on 10th January the government will see the situation and all educational institutions will be reopened on 11th January 2021. The minister directed universities to start the online learning immediately.

Remember that the National Command and Operation Center NCOC has already proposed to close the educational institutions to curb with the pandemic. The federal ministry of education also recommended increasing the educational session till May according to which the matric and intermediate exams will be conducted in June 2021.
