School Universities Colleges Vacation & Online Classes Update
Lahore: The Punjab Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, has issued an important clarification regarding the reopening of educational institutions and the spread of misleading notifications on social media.
In his latest statement, the minister confirmed that all schools, colleges, and universities across Punjab will resume academic activities from April 1. He strongly dismissed viral claims suggesting extended closures or changes in the academic schedule, labeling such notifications as false and unauthorized.
The minister emphasized that educational institutions will follow a standard five-day academic week, rejecting rumors about reducing the schedule to four days. He also made it clear that the government is not planning to introduce online or hybrid classes, and students are expected to attend physical classes regularly.
According to Rana Sikandar Hayat, normal academic routines will continue, and there is no official policy supporting remote learning at this stage. He urged students, parents, and teachers to rely only on verified government announcements and avoid misinformation circulating online.
Authorities have advised the public to remain cautious and not share unverified news regarding school operations.
