School Education Department Academic Calendar for 2020-21
School Education Department issued PSED Academic calendar for year 2020-21. There are over 35 thousand middle and secondary schools all over the province. Before the announcement of the academic calendar, the smart syllabus is made by the Punjab government. Due to spreading of the coronavirus, the syllabus for the students has been announced and now half of the year has been over. Now less time is spare to cover the whole syllabus of all subjects. SED has issued the directions to all schools to follow academic calendar, which is prepared for students of session 2020-21 and the students will be able to complete next academic year on time. The schools have been provided with the reduced syllabus in the subjects including Science, English and Mathematics.
When the coronavirus virus was increased across the country, SED has advised to follow the SOPs and Punjab Education Minister monitors the implementation of COVID-19 safety protocols and compliance of guidelines, which is provided by school education department. The students will not be allowed to enter the schools without wearing the mask and the banners of ‘No mask, no entry’ has been displayed outside the schools so that it can increase the awareness on importance of the premises.
