Special Monitoring Arranged for Sensitive Examination Centers

Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Aamir Khattak, who is also serving as Chairman of BISE Rawalpindi, chaired a high-level meeting to assess arrangements for the 2026 SSC examinations. During the session, he instructed concerned ACs and tehsildars to regularly visit and supervise sensitive and hard centers to ensure smooth, fair, and transparent conduct of exams.

According to a BISE press release, all examination-related arrangements must be finalized by February 20, 2026. Addressing officials at the meeting, the commissioner stressed the importance of completing all preparatory work within the stipulated timeframe. He further directed that the number of hard centers be increased and surveillance at these locations be made stricter.

The commissioner emphasized that students who have worked diligently throughout the academic year must not be subjected to exploitation. He made it clear that cheating gangs, commonly referred to as the “booti mafia,” and all forms of unfair practices would be dealt with strictly to protect the rights of deserving candidates.

To strengthen oversight, instructions were also issued to establish modern control rooms for effective real-time monitoring during the examinations. Relevant staff duty rosters are to be issued in advance, and robust monitoring systems must be ensured. The commissioner also called for the preparation of comprehensive checklists so that all administrative and examination-related activities are properly tracked and documented.

During the briefing, officials informed the meeting that around 400 examination centers are being set up across the Rawalpindi division. This year, the number of hard centers has been increased from 100 to 150. Work related to question paper preparation and printing, delivery of answer sheets, installation of CCTV cameras, staff training, and the establishment of a central control room is currently in progress and will be completed before the February 20 deadline.

The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Revenue, Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan, Board Secretary Amjad Iqbal, and other senior officers concerned with examination management.
