Quaid-i-Azam University Closed Due to Road Closures
Quaid-i-Azam University QAU has announced a complete suspension of academic and transportation services for four days, spanning November 22 to November 25, 2024. This decision comes in response to significant traffic disruptions in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
An official circular released by QAU’s Registrar’s Office confirmed the suspension, citing road blockages across the twin cities. The decision, which impacts regular classes and examinations, was taken after assessing the challenges faced by students and staff in commuting to the university.
All examinations scheduled during this period will be delayed. QAU has assured students that once the roads are cleared and operations normalize, exams will resume with at least three days’ notice, giving learners sufficient preparation time.
The pause in operations was authorized by the universitys higher management. Relevant stakeholders, including departmental heads, transport officials, and hostel administrators, have been informed to ensure a smooth transition during this suspension.
