QAU Islamabad Issues High Alert Security Notice for Students
Quaid-e-Azam University QAU has officially enforced a series of stringent security measures across its campus and residential areas. The directive, issued on February 27, 2026, by the Office of the Registrar, comes in response to heightening regional tensions and aims to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and administrative staff.
The new security protocols mandate a significant increase in vigilance at all entry and exit points of the university. Security personnel have been directed to conduct thorough and strict checks at all designated posts. According to the official notification, these procedures must be followed without exception to maintain a secure environment within the academic and residential blocks.
Special attention is being directed toward student hostels. The administration has called for reinforced security during the evening and night hours. Wardens and residential staff are required to remain on high alert and ensure full compliance with the new safety guidelines. Additionally, security teams will maintain a close watch on university transport routes, including student bus stops and parking areas. Random inspections are now authorized in these zones to deter any suspicious activity.
To prevent potential safety risks, the university has prohibited loitering at bus stops and discouraged unnecessary large gatherings on campus grounds. The administration has categorized the enforcement of these orders as a matter of "utmost urgency."
All university community members are urged to remain observant. Any unusual activity, unattended objects, or suspicious movements should be reported immediately to the Campus Manager, Security Officer, or Resident Officer. These officials are instructed to coordinate directly with local police authorities if an incident requires external intervention.
