Punjab Updates School Curriculum for 2026 2027 Academic Year
The Punjab government has announced updates to the school textbook curriculum for the upcoming 2026–27 academic year. According to the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board PCTB, most textbooks will remain the same. The students can check the fresh updates of Punjab Updates School Curriculum for 2026–27 Academic Year.
Key Changes in Class 9 Textbooks
However, revisions will be made to the Class 9 Computer Science and Entrepreneurship textbooks. The Computer Science syllabus for Grade 9 will be reviewed and updated, while the total pages in both the Computer Science and Entrepreneurship Tech books will be reduced. PCTB has instructed publishers to adjust printing orders accordingly and has asked schools to implement these changes immediately.
Officials explained that the aim of these revisions is to promote modern knowledge, foster creative thinking, and align students’ learning with contemporary educational needs. Experts in education have welcomed this initiative, noting that periodic curriculum updates are crucial for improving teaching quality and enhancing learning outcomes.
