Punjab University Entry Test 2026 Deadline May 25

University of the Punjab has declared that all candidates seeking admission to its undergraduate programs for the academic session 2026–27 must appear in the PU Admission Test, which is tentatively scheduled for June 14, 2026. This test is a compulsory requirement for applicants aiming to secure admission in various disciplines offered by the university. Only those candidates who pass this test will be eligible to apply through the official admission portal once admissions are formally announced. Eligibility Criteria, Test Categories, and Application Guidelines

Students who have successfully completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate HSSC or an equivalent Grade 12 qualification are eligible to apply. In addition, candidates who have already appeared in their final HSSC examinations and are awaiting results can also register for the test. However, results from previous years’ PU admission tests will not be considered valid for the current admission cycle, making it essential for all applicants to take the test afresh.

The admission test is divided into seven distinct categories based on academic backgrounds and intended fields of study. These include Pre-Engineering PU-E, Pre-Medical PU-M, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences PU-AHS, ICS with Physics PU-CSP, ICS with Statistics PU-CSS, General Science PU-GS, and Commerce PU-COM. The test carries a weightage of 25% in the overall merit calculation, playing a significant role in determining admission eligibility.

Candidates can access detailed information regarding the test structure and marks distribution through the official admission test portal. The examination will be conducted in major cities across Pakistan to facilitate applicants nationwide. To apply, candidates must register online via the PU admission portal before the deadline of May 25, 2026. The application process requires a non-refundable fee of PKR 2500, which can be paid through designated banks such as HBL and UBL or via mobile banking using 1Bill. Applicants must upload proof of payment to complete their registration. For certain programs like engineering, law, pharmacy, and fine arts, additional requirements such as E-CAT, LAT, MDCAT, or aptitude tests may also apply alongside the PU Admission Test.
