Punjab University Awards 250 HEC Scholarships 2026
At a ceremony held in Lahore on April 20, 2026, Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali reaffirmed that merit will remain the key principle in awarding scholarships under the HEC Need-Based Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2025–26. He emphasized that the selection process will strictly follow transparency, fairness, and academic achievement to ensure that only the most deserving students are chosen. The event was attended by Director Planning & Development Prof. Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar Asghar, along with faculty members and other participants. A total of 250 students will benefit from this initiative. The students can get the latest updates of PU to Award HEC Needs-Based Scholarships to 250 Students.
Supporting Talented Students from Financially Challenged Backgrounds
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor highlighted that the primary aim of this scholarship programme is to assist talented students who face financial constraints, enabling them to continue their higher education without obstacles. He noted that such initiatives demonstrate the university’s dedication to providing equal educational opportunities and maintaining academic excellence. Furthermore, he stressed that these programmes empower students to focus on their studies and contribute meaningfully to society. The university also aims to enhance access to quality education through partnerships with national organizations, strengthening support for deserving candidates.
