Punjab Suddenly Delay Summer Vacation Schedule
The Punjab government has decided to delay the start of summer vacations in public schools by one day to allow full observance of Youm-e-Takbeer, as announced in an official notice dated May 27, 2025. Originally planned to start on May 28, summer break will now commence on May 29, keeping schools open on May 28 to mark this significant day. Special Activities to Honor Youm-e-Takbeer
The School Education Department has instructed all Chief Executive Officers CEOs of District Education Authorities DEAs to arrange special events on May 28. These activities will honor Pakistan’s nuclear milestones and involve all public schools throughout the province.
Program Highlights and Competitions
The day’s observance will begin with a special morning assembly, including the national anthem, prayers, and a tribute to the Pakistan Army. Various competitions will take place at the district level, such as speech contests on the importance of Youm-e-Takbeer and Pakistan’s nuclear status, art and poster making contests, and performances of national songs Milli Naghmay.
Incentives and Encouragement
Winners of these district-level contests will be awarded prizes amounting to Rs. 50,000. Schools have been encouraged to actively participate, promoting messages of peace, patriotism, and technological advancement.
Official Start of Summer Holidays
Following the day’s events, summer vacations will officially begin on May 29, 2025.
