Punjab Schools Issue Revised Timings After Summer Vacations
Punjab School Education Department has released a notification announcing revised school timings for all public schools across the province. These updated timings will remain in effect until October 15, 2025, as schools gear up to reopen in most districts from tomorrow. The revised schedule applies to single-shift schools, double-shift schools, and afternoon schools, with specific timings allocated for each category. Separate Timings for Teachers
In addition to student schedules, the department has set separate timings for teachers to ensure they have extra hours dedicated to lesson planning, professional training, and co-curricular activities. This adjustment aims to improve the quality of teaching and enhance overall academic performance.
Revised School Timings
- Single Shift Schools:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
- Friday: 7:30 am – 11:30 am
- Double Shift / Afternoon Schools Morning Shift:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
- Friday: 7:30 am – 11:30 am
- Double Shift / Afternoon Schools Evening Shift:
- Monday to Thursday: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
- Friday: 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Strict Implementation by District Authorities
The Punjab School Education Department has instructed all District Education Authorities DEAs to strictly enforce the revised timings. Any negligence or failure to comply will be dealt with according to the law. However, a 15-minute relaxation has been allowed for girls’ schools regarding opening and closing times to ensure convenience and safety.
