Punjab Schools 3 Weekly Holidays and Work From Home
Lahore High Court issued the directives to Punjab government to notify 3 days per week closure of all public and private educational institutes and mandatory work from home for the government and non-government organizations.
When the winter season is arrived, the people of Lahore and some other areas of Punjab face the situation of smog and its devastating effects. The honorable court has given these orders of Punjab Schools 3 Weekly Holidays and Work From Home by keeping the health safety in the minds. The court expressed the serious displeasure over the failure of the Punjab government during the previous hearing of the case on Friday as there is critical position of smog in the province. The court ordered that there will be three holidays in the schools during a week and the students will do the work from home in all public and private schools.
The Chief Minister of Punjab has already accorded the imposition of environmental emergency in the province and there is deteriorating smog situation prevailing in the province. The CM of Punjab ordered to control smog-inducing factors, which are brick kilns, tubble burning and smog emitting vehicles in the province. He asked the anti-smog squad to enforce the orders and instructions completely.
