Punjab Revises Private School Registration Policy with Stricter Regulations

The Government of Punjab has rolled out a comprehensive set of new regulations for the registration and renewal of private educational institutions. These updated measures are designed to enhance transparency, improve administrative control, and promote digital systems across the private school sector. The students can get the latest updates of Punjab Revises Private School Registration Policy with Stricter Regulations.

New Compliance Measures for Registration and Renewal of Private Schools in Punjab

As part of the revised framework, the Private School Regulatory Authority Punjab has been instructed to tighten its monitoring mechanism. All procedures related to school registration and renewal will now be handled through a unified online portal to ensure efficiency and proper record-keeping.

Under the new rules, private schools are required to clearly declare their fee structures and allocate at least 10 percent of their admissions to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, promoting inclusivity in education.

Moreover, schools situated along main roads must implement safety measures such as marked zebra crossings and visible signboards. Institutions are also obligated to install surveillance cameras, follow anti-dengue guidelines, and maintain proper cleanliness and sanitation standards within their premises.
The policy further mandates schools to register on the Punjab Safety App as well as the Green School App. Additionally, submission of building fitness certificates and hygiene clearance documents has been made compulsory for registration approval.

Franchise-based schools must now secure a no-objection certificate from their parent organization. Furthermore, institutions are required to arrange transport facilities for at least half of their enrolled students, ensuring accessibility and convenience.
