Punjab Retains Weekly Saturday Holiday in Schools
The Punjab Education Department is finalizing the revised school schedule for the upcoming winter season across the province. The new timing plan will come into effect from October 20, 2025, and will remain valid until March 2026. Education Department Confirms No Change in Saturday Off for Schools
According to official sources, Chief Minister Sharif has reviewed the proposal and is expected to approve it soon. Meanwhile, several social media reports suggested that the provincial government might eliminate the weekly Saturday holiday for schools.
However, Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has dismissed these rumors, clarifying that there is no change in the existing holiday policy. Schools in Punjab will continue to remain closed on Saturdays as usual.
