Punjab Replaces Marks with Grading System for SSC / HSSC

The Punjab government has accorded the approval to replace marks system with grading system for matric and intermediate examinations. The government has decided to bring this change to the current education system at par with O and A levels. Punjab Replaces Marks with Grading System for SSC / HSSC.
Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) has proposed this suggestion and it got the approval from the Chief Minister of Punjab. This change will be the stepping stone to reduce the cramming system and it will help to promote analytical abilities of the students.
Now there will be no race among the students to get maximum marks as they will achieve A+, A, B, C and D grades respectively on the basis of their performances in the examination. The provincial education department was hopeful that this initiative will improve the standard of education and it will help to put the education system on the track to get the international standards.
In the first stage of this initiative, the result of 9th class will be declared as per grading system this year and it would be applied to the upper classes from next year. The official of the education department said government is going to take the right steps to bring the education system analytical and cheating proof so that they can bring the education system at par with O & A levels.
