Punjab Private Medical Colleges Revised Fee Collection Mechanism

Punjab Private Medical Colleges Revised Fee Collection Mechanism

In a significant development, the Provincial Admission Committee PAC convened to give its approval to a revised fee collection policy for private medical colleges in Punjab. The meeting, which took place at the University of Health Sciences, was presided over by Ali Jan, the Secretary of the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department. The students will note Punjab Private Medical Colleges Revised Fee Collection Mechanism.

Direct Tuition Fee Payment

The newly approved policy entails that medical students who secure admission in their first-choice college will now be required to directly submit the entire tuition fee to the respective institution. This eliminates the need for students to deposit their fees at the University of Health Sciences UHS. The decision made by the PAC aims to streamline the payment process and reduce complexity for the students.

Payment for Non-Upgrading Candidates

Additionally, it has been decided that candidates who do not opt for an upgrade after their initial admission will also be obliged to submit the complete fee directly to the college of their choice.

Stringent Regulations for Fee Collection

Private medical institutions planning to collect the full fee from students must adhere to a new affidavit. This affidavit binds them to adhere to the fee refund and transfer policies established by the UHS. According to these policies, colleges are legally bound to refund the entire fee to students who choose to vacate their seat or are upgraded to another institution. This refund must occur within a week and without any deductions.

Enforcement and Consequences

To ensure compliance with these regulations, strict actions will be taken against institutions found violating the policies. Legal actions may also be initiated against colleges that fail to adhere to the specified guidelines. This policy adjustment aims to create a more efficient and student-friendly fee collection process for private medical colleges in Punjab.
