Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has admitted that students, especially those in Grade 9, are facing an excessive academic load. Curriculum Review Underway to Make Studies More Manageable
According to the minister, a team of curriculum experts and experienced teachers is currently reviewing the existing syllabus with the goal of reducing and restructuring it for Grade 9 and other classes. The revision aims to make studies less burdensome and more effective for learners.
“We understand the heavy workload faced by students in Grade 9 and other grades. Experts and senior educators are actively working on simplifying and realigning the curriculum,” the minister shared in a social media statement.
However, no specific timeline or details regarding the scale of the syllabus changes have been revealed yet. The focus, for now, remains on the ongoing evaluation process to make the academic curriculum more balanced and student-friendly.
