Punjab Launches Scholarship and Laptop Initiative for Students
Punjab Chief Minister has officially launched the second phase of the Hunarmand Merit Scholarship and Laptop Scheme, introducing a comprehensive program to support students across Pakistan. The students can get latest updates of Punjab Launches Scholarship and Laptop Initiative for Students.
Scholarships and Laptop Distribution
As part of the initiative, the provincial government will provide 80,000 scholarships in the coming year and distribute 118,000 Core i7 laptops to eligible students. The chief minister emphasized that the process would be purely merit-based, ensuring fair access for students, including those from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She also revealed that more than 27,000 applications for laptops have already been received from students in KP and Balochistan.
Commitment to Education and Development
CM highlighted that her government is determined to promote youth empowerment through education. She ruled out any influence of favoritism or political recommendations in the selection process. In addition to scholarships and laptops, the plan includes setting up 6,000 STEAM labs, introducing Schools of Eminence in Punjab, and creating Centers of Excellence to uplift the education sector.
Additional Initiatives
To improve public transport facilities, the chief minister also announced the launch of electric buses in Chakwal, aiming to modernize urban mobility in the province.
