Punjab Impose Smog Emergency Schools Remain Open
Lahore: The provincial government has imposed a smog emergency throughout Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi discussed the necessary measures to combat smog across Punjab. This decision was made during a meeting, which was chaired by the CM Punjab. The teachers, students and parent note that Punjab Impose Smog Emergency Schools Remain Open.
During the meeting, it was decided not to close schools and transport. However, it was mandated that masks must be worn by all students in both public and private schools for a period of one month.
Mohsin Naqvi directed action against those who do not control emissions of dust, sand, and pollutants during the construction of houses.
He also ordered the withdrawal of challans issued against farmers during the smog season, instructing that farmers should not burn the remains of crops but dispose of them properly. Stringent actions should be taken against vehicles and factories emitting smoke.
