Punjab Govt Refutes False School Closure Notification
Punjab School Education Department has dismissed a widely circulated social media post that falsely announced the closure of all public and private schools from May 8 to May 10, 2025. The students can get the latest updates of Punjab Govt Refutes False School Closure Notification.
On Tuesday, the department addressed the misinformation through its official Facebook page, posting an image of the fabricated notification stamped with “Fake News” in bold red letters. They also cautioned the public not to fall prey to or distribute such false claims.
Education Department Clarifies Schools Will Remain Open
The counterfeit notice, dated May 7, 2025, misleadingly stated that schools would be closed for three days while examinations for international boards such as O-Level and A-Level would proceed. To make it seem authentic, the fake document even included the names and designations of actual education officials.
