Punjab Govt Merit Scholarships Offer to Minority Students

The government of the Punjab has made the announcement of offering the scholarships to the deserving non-Muslim students as regular students in the government schools and colleges. This scholarship scheme will support the students of the minority classes so that they can seek admission in the higher class and continue their education and they can serve the nation positively. The candidates are allowed to submit their application forms by the closing date of 12-05-2023. The applicants must have Punjab domicile and they belong to minority classes like Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian or others and they must be enrolled in the classes from matric to PhD and they got minimum 40% marks in their most recent annual exams. The scholarships are divided among the students at the rate according to their classes. The students, who are enrolled in the professional level programs like MBBS, BDS, PharmD, DVM, BSc English, BSc Nursing or PhD or equivalent, they can get the annual scholarship of Rs.50,000/-.

The candidates, who pursue postgraduate programs like MS, MSc, M.Com, MCS, MBA, MPhil, LLM or equivalent programs, they will get the yearly amount of Rs.35,000/-. The candidates, who are enrolled in the undergraduate programs like BA, BSc, BBA, B.Com or equivalent programs, they will get the amount of Rs.30,000/- per annum.

The candidates can download the application forms from the official website of Department of Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Punjab and they will submit it with the attested copies of domicile, passport size photographs, CNIC of the students and their fathers or guardians, educational certificates, result cards or equivalent certificates, which will be duly attested by grade 17 officer or above. The heads of the educational institutes, where the students are getting education, they are instructed to verify the documents of the parents or guardians of the students.
