Punjab Govt Launches High Tech Educational Reforms in Public Schools
During the Laptop and Honahar Scholarship distribution event at the University of Sargodha, Punjab Chief Minister announced significant education reforms. She committed to broadening merit-based scholarships in the upcoming academic year to increase access to higher education and support gifted students from all financial backgrounds across Punjab. Upgrading Public School Infrastructure
The chief minister revealed an ambitious plan to enhance public education facilities, including:
- Installing electric bike charging stations at schools
- Setting up AI and computer laboratories in 6,000 government schools
- Building 50,000 additional classrooms throughout the province
- Supplying essential furniture such as chairs and desks to every public school
- CM expressed her vision of making government school students as competent, if not more, than those attending private schools.
Promoting Digital Awareness and Inclusive Education
She also urged students to practice caution when handling online information, stressing the importance of verifying news before sharing to promote responsible digital behavior. Concluding her address, she reiterated her dedication to inclusive education and the success of every student in Punjab.
