Punjab Govt Issues Strict Notice to Private Schools During Winter Vacation
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has issued a stern warning to private schools operating during the ongoing winter vacations, emphasizing that violations of government directives will not be tolerated. The Education Department will take strict measures against any school found open during the officially notified holiday period. Clarification Amid Social Media Confusion
This warning comes in response to confusion circulating on social media, where false claims suggested possible changes to the winter vacation schedule. A few days earlier, Rana Sikandar Hayat confirmed that the Punjab government would not extend winter holidays, and all schools and colleges are scheduled to reopen on January 12, 2026.

The education minister urged parents, students, and teachers to follow official notifications only and avoid spreading unverified information about school and college schedules. He described the online rumors about extended vacations as misleading and false.
