Punjab Govt Introduces Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities
The Punjab government has announced a new initiative to promote inclusive education in public schools, allowing children with mild physical disabilities to attend mainstream schools. This decision, as per official sources, aims to integrate students with minor disabilities into regular educational institutions. Ensuring Equal Admission Opportunities
Under this new policy, children with physical disabilities will now be able to enroll in their nearby public schools. School principals have been instructed to admit these students without any form of discrimination, ensuring they are treated equally and fairly.
Overcoming Previous Barriers
Previously, many mainstream schools were reluctant to admit children with disabilities, leading parents to send their children to specialized institutions. This new initiative seeks to break down such barriers, providing an inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
Ministers Approval and Implementation Punjab’s Minister for Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, is set to give the final approval for this policy. Once approved, it will pave the way for the successful implementation of inclusive education across the province’s public schools.
