Punjab Govt Announces Fee Relief for University Students in Flood-Affected Areas
Punjab Chief Minister has introduced a special relief initiative for students belonging to districts heavily impacted by recent floods. The students can get latest updates of Punjab Govt Announces Fee Relief for University Students in Flood-Affected Areas.
As part of this package, semester fees for all university students from flood-affected areas have been waived, while first-year BS students will also be exempted from paying admission fees. The relief applies to students from Muzaffargarh, Multan, Lodhran, Vehari, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Chiniot, and Kasur.
Semester and Admission Fees Waived for Students from Flood-Hit Districts
To further ease the burden, the government has extended the deadline for university registrations in these districts by 20 days. Additionally, the application date for the Honhar Scholarship program has been prolonged by one month, giving more students the opportunity to avail the support.
According to officials, this decision aims to ease financial pressure on families while ensuring that students from flood-affected regions continue their education without interruption.
Chief Minister emphasized her government’s dedication to assisting flood victims, promising timely rehabilitation and compensation. She stressed that no child should miss out on education due to natural disasters and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting families affected by the floods.
