Punjab Extends Free School Meal Initiative to Ten More Districts
The Punjab government has approved the expansion of its Free School Meal Program to ten additional districts in the province. The new phase will include Bhakkar, Mianwali, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Chiniot, Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran, and Vehari. Program Aims to Improve Student Nutrition and Boost School Attendance
This initiative is designed to provide free nutritious meals to students enrolled in grades one through five, with the goal of improving their health and increasing school attendance rates.
Provincial Education Minister stated that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has also sanctioned the establishment of new Danish Schools in Sarai Alamgir and Phool Nagar, furthering the government’s mission to expand access to quality education across Punjab.
