The Punjab School Education Department has released an official notification announcing that every public and private school in the province will remain closed from March 10 to March 31, 2026. This decision has been taken as part of efforts to reduce fuel consumption during a time of growing economic uncertainty. According to the notification issued on March 9, the provincial authorities considered the changing international circumstances and their possible economic consequences before making this decision. As a precautionary measure, the government decided to temporarily suspend regular on-campus schooling activities across Punjab in order to help conserve fuel and manage available resources more efficiently.

During this period, students will not attend their schools physically.
