Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has officially announced winter vacations for colleges across Punjab, providing seasonal relief to students, teachers, and administrative staff during the ongoing cold weather.

According to the minister, all public and private colleges in Punjab will remain closed for winter holidays from December 23 until January 10. The announcement was shared through his official social media platforms, ensuring timely awareness among students and parents.
Earlier, the Punjab government had also announced winter vacations for schools, which started on December 22 and will continue until January 10. With this decision, both schools and colleges across the province will follow a nearly synchronized winter break schedule.
The Punjab Education Department stated that the decision was taken in view of prevailing weather conditions and to safeguard the health and safety of students and teaching staff. Officials further advised students and parents to regularly check official notifications for any changes in academic calendars or examination schedules.
