Punjab Class 8 Board Exams 2026 Schedule and Subjects Announced
Government schools across Punjab will hold Class 8 board exams starting in the second week of March 2026, organized by the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority. For the first time, answer sheets will be evaluated using a computerized marking system, and 8th class results are expected to be announced on March 31. Key Details of the Upcoming Class 8 Examinations
The exams will span two to three days, covering four main subjects: Urdu, English, Mathematics, and Social Studies. The Punjab government has set aside Rs. 1.6 billion to manage the examination process.
Standard operating procedures have been issued for examination staff: school principals will serve as resident inspectors, senior teachers as superintendents, and primary and elementary teachers as test administrators. Staff for each exam center will be assigned through an online selection system, while schools will handle other subjects internally.
Previously, Class 8 board exams were conducted by the Punjab Examination Commission, which was later dissolved after five years. After a seven-year hiatus, the government has reintroduced the exams under the new authority.
