Punjab Announces Summer Vacation for All Colleges
The Punjab Higher Education Department has officially declared summer vacations for all public and private colleges across the province. As per the announcement, the holiday period will begin on May 28 and continue until August 14, 2025. All academic institutions will reopen on Friday, August 15, 2025. BS Degree Programs to Continue Without Interruption
While most college programs will pause for the summer, BS 4-year degree programs are exempt from the break. These courses will carry on according to the academic calendars set by individual universities, with no disruption in classes or activities.
Exams and Practicals to Proceed as Scheduled
The notification has also confirmed that examinations and practical assessments will take place as originally planned. This applies to all university and board exams scheduled during the summer across Punjab, ensuring that the evaluation process remains on track.
College Students to Receive Extended Break
Students enrolled in regular academic programs will enjoy nearly three months of vacation. However, those pursuing BS degrees should adhere to their university timetables to ensure they do not miss out on any academic commitments or evaluations during this time.
Summer Break Aimed at Balancing Heat and Education
This move is part of Punjab’s broader effort to manage the intense summer season while maintaining consistency in higher education. The summer break aims to offer relief to students and staff, without compromising the continuity of long-term academic programs and examination schedules.
