Punjab Announces Extended Winter Vacation Holidays for Schools
Punjab School Education Department has officially declared the punjab winter vacation dates for all public and private schools across the province. According to the notification issued on December 17, 2024, schools will be closed from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025, giving students and staff over three weeks of time off. School Resumption After the Break
Classes are scheduled to resume on Monday, January 13, 2025. The break is extended as January 11 and 12 fall on the weekend, allowing for a smooth transition back to school.
Face Mask Protocols Remain in Place
The notification also emphasized that the current rules regarding the mandatory use of face masks within school premises will continue during the vacation period. This measure is in place to ensure the ongoing safety and health of students and staff.
Ensuring Compliance Across the Province
The directive has been sent to all Deputy Commissioners, Chief Executive Officers of District Education Authorities, and the heads of relevant departments to ensure that schools comply with the holiday schedule. The Punjab Director General of Public Relations has been instructed to circulate the announcement through media channels to inform the public.
Monitoring and Notification Distribution
To ensure full awareness of the punjab winter break, the department’s monitoring wing has been tasked with uploading the official notification on its website. This move aims to keep both schools and families well-informed during the winter season while continuing to follow health guidelines.
