Punjab Announces Ban on Schools in Undersized Buildings
Punjab Education Foundation PEF has issued new orders to shut down all schools functioning on plots smaller than ten marlas. Under the revised policy, schools must either relocate to larger premises or expand their existing campuses to meet the minimum space requirement. PEF Sets Minimum Land Requirement for Schools
School owners have been given until November 10 to comply with the directive. In cases where expansion is not possible, institutions must shift to a new site and inform PEF without delay. The foundation will then conduct inspections to ensure compliance before granting final approval.
Authorities have also cautioned that schools ignoring these instructions will face legal action.
